reading the mediocre reviews here at amazon for this anime really had me questioning my consume, but i am contented to say i really enjoyed my ‘origin’ experience. i fair didn’t glimpse it thinking “well…this has all been done before”….it was more like “ahhh that’s really wintry and a creative arrangement at looking at the future”, and the ‘feel’ of the film is very nice. sorta laid wait on with no outragous child-tantrum moments most anime’s seem to be plagued with. english direct acting was substantial, music was enormous, the whole thing was unprejudiced ample and really really well drawn. very vibrant and natty colors, textures were obliging. i don’t regret this capture at all.

‘Marley & Me’ is a grand adaptation of the recent by Josh Grogan. It kept all the emotional elements as well as the fun. Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson had astonishing chemistry together in this heartfelt film. Overall, I judge viewers will savor this film. Jennifer Aniston is sweet as the supportive wife and Owen Wilson shows how he’s powerful more than playing screwball characters and can be tender and emotional as well.

There are quite a bit of extras on the “Abominable Dog Edition” that fans of this film will no doubt appreciate exploring.
There is a collection of 19 deleted scenes with optional commentary by director David Frankel. We stare John and Jenny go house hunting in Boca Raton. There is more footage of them choosing to adopt Marley. Naturally, there is more of Marley’s antics as well.

I had this movie on vhs for years and must have watched it a million times as it’s unprejudiced that kind of film I like to gaze over and over and never come by tired of.
Then, the day after my birthday last summer, it came out on dvd. It seemed like perfect timing..I belief for positive I’d regain it as a gift. I didn’t. I did collect a tedious Christmas exhibit from my husband a few days ago, and this was it.

It is the most romantic gift he gave me next to the sparkly diamond stud earrings. I believe this movie belongs in the class.
Why? Well, first off, I am 34 yrs archaic, which effect this movie one of many of my generation. It brings me serve to those glory days of 1980’s high school.
“Valley Girl” is a romantic comedy/drama, that has so considerable heart and such a definite and simple message of it’s what inside that counts. Frederick Forrest, who plays the father to Julie, who is played by Deborah Foreman, and is Valley Girl extradionare, delivers some of the best lines of the movie in the scene where he talks to her about what really matters in life.
This is a very 80’s version of Romeo & Juliet instead it’s Randy & Julie. Randy, who is played by a very young Nicholas Cage, is the punker dude type that Julie falls in treasure with. Their’s is a typical teenage romance with phony friends and a jilted ex boyfriend trying to slouch it all to pieces.

“Valley Girl” has a bittersweet quality to it. I always weep when I glimpse it, and my heart swells up like a balloon. It sounds corny, but it’s proper. I calm care for it after all these years.
The dvd had some superb extras, I’m unexcited checking some out, can’t comment on all of them. One really gracious bit of trivia I learned is that Michael Bowen, who played Tommy, the Valley dude boyfriend of Julie, has appeared in a few Quention Tarentino films. It seems QT is a fan of this tiny, indy film..Gee, I wonder why? It’s totally frosty to know that now. I am only murky that Deb Foreman is not among the stars that came support after 20 years to be interviewed for this special edition disc.

I highly recommend this to fans of 80’s films, or even unprejudiced films about the 80’s, or fans of like stories…Oh to heck with it, all movie fans will bag something to like in the movie “Valley Girl”. My husband did.

I unbiased rented this movie for the first time this weekend and I watched it four times. I was a kid when this came out, but I’ve heard about it over the years. Since they’re closing the Sherman Oaks Mall & that was where I’d heard this took spot, I succumbed and decided to check it out. Yes, some of the acting is abominable (Julie’s Val boyfriend) and the directing was sloppy (the teacher in the purple dress was seemingly simultaneously dancing and standing by the punch bowl at the prom), but I probably noticed most of it because I watched it 4 times in 3 days.
One of the best parts was when Julie dumped her Hollywood dude and he yelled an obscenity I’m guessing Amazon.com won’t let me type followed by “Like, totally fer definite” in that Valley lingo we all know and treasure. And Nicholas Cage was so young he was cute! Fred’s Pepe Le Pew imitation in the hills was hilarious. And the raze…well, you’ll fair have to peek it!

Little trumpeting music played in the background the whole time, and made it hard to focus on what was being said. It was completely unnecessary.
This documentary focuses almost entirely on a few battles in Cuba, giving the Phillipines and Puerto Rico on a brief mention. Fails to discuss the social-political climate of Cuban citizens (didn’t even mention the Phillipines or Puerto Rico in this context) and only gave a short mention on the role the media magnates Hearst and Pulitzer played in trumpeting America to war.
Take away the goofy music, the reenactments would be stunning if they had a lesser role, and demonstrate a broader more in-depth overview of the war and this would gain a elegant documentary.

There have been so many Pooh-related feature films, direct-to-video films and television series that it’s getting difficult to withhold track of them (word is that there is another theatrical feature in the works) . To the best of my recollection, “The Tigger Movie” was produced by the television division but was very successful in its theatrical release and was followed up with “Piglet’s Vast Movie.”

This is actually quite a nice film. The astounding thing about these characters is how flexible they are for so many stories. The area here revolves around Tigger’s family background and his search for his “family tree.” The animation, apparently done in Japan, is very fluid and suggestive of the earlier films — and the domestic artists slack it are among the best in the business, including Floyd Norman and Toby Bluth.
John Fiedler, as Piglet, is the one remaining cast member from the unusual films, with Jim Cummings voicing Pooh and Tigger and none other than John Harm taking over the narration from Sebastian Cabot.

It distinct is nice to ogle “Songs by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman” in the credits. This was technically their last film for Disney, though its success surely should have resulted in others. My approved of their songs is “Round My Family Tree,” but they all have the pretty charm of their other Pooh songs. They also collaborated with Kenny Loggins on “Your Heart Will Lead You Home,” which got a lot of airplay.
The DVD offers a handful of bonus features — several games, mostly, plus a storybook version read by the immense Corey Burton and a digital copy. But it is particularly estimable to leer two short episodes from the Emmy-winning “Novel Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” series. Each episode relates to the dwelling of the feature. Wouldn’t it be big if the series was packaged season-by-season on DVD? Hmm?
“Mostly I’m glad… but now all at once I feel so lonely,” sings a uncharacteristically depressed Tigger in this year-2000 theatrical film, after his Hundred Acre Wood pals finally reject his manic bouncing behavior. Obvious to track down “someone like me,” the irrepressible stuffed tiger has several adventures. He eventually learns that family members arrive in all shapes and sizes, and not necessarily from the same family tree.
Compared to most Disney sequels “The Tigger Movie” has a lot to offer. It’s sweet, with absolutely no hostility, and no more violence than a few bee stings. The animation is surprisingly expedient — a hallucinatory revue of history’s greatest Tiggers in references to The Brady Bunch, the “Jackson 5ive” Saturday morning cartoon series, Jerry Springer, The Seven Year Itch, even 1930s Gold Diggers films — while backgrounds often preserve the soft watercolor peruse of the classic Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. For the most piece Tigger’s sunny enthusiasm is on chubby show, as are his absoposilutely hooked takes on the English language. All the other classic Pooh characters appear too, including Winnie the Pooh, Rabbit, Piglet, Eeyore, Owl, Kanga, Roo, even Christopher Robin.
The screech talent is reliable, though the only negate from the recent film is John Fiedler as Piglet. Both Tigger (originally Paul Winchell) and Pooh (originally Marvelous Holloway) are voiced by Jim Cummings, recognizable to Playhouse Disney fans as the command of Pete on the series “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.” The narrator (originally Sebastian Cabot) is voiced here by John Harm, who portrays Mr. Ollivander in the Harry Potter films as well as Professor Oxley in 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
In short, “The Tigger Movie” is the best of Disney’s Pooh sequels. Preschoolers will especially care for it, and though the oddball record line has some sure region holes (stuffed animals have birth parents? ), parents can sit through at least one viewing with relative ease.

Performances are expedient all around and the animation is top notch. For some reason, I feel that Disney peaceful wants to compete against their beget partner Pixar. Smooth, the characters aren’t quite as multidimensional. And considering the hero’s dilemma to acquire befriend to his owner Penny, Penny really gets minute time in this. The film has a fun road movie quality and the film makers seemed to have fun with the action sequences. It’s a fun glimpse, but gorgeous far from Pixar quality.
“Whisk” really blew me away; this is the first time that I have seen a CGI film that shows a level of mastery that allows the visual artistry of the film to be the driver rather than the capabilities of the computer. The characters have the typical CGI look–extremely well rendered, with the 3D type scrutinize you’d inquire of. However, the backgrounds have the observe of a dilapidated painting. Art Director Paul Felix should be commended for this mixing of styles which works out extremely well. The overall lighting, colors, and style of this film are its hallmark in my understanding. The account is really not anything that will blow you away; in fact, it is somewhat predictable; however, with the characterizations, action sequences, visual quality, and the vocal talents unhurried the characters, “Scramble” becomes a must-see.

They are both shown in storyboard effect and neither is really missed from the final report. They were not veteran mainly because they wanted to heighten the emotional level of Meander finding out about his lack of powers.
“In Session with John Travolta & Miley Cyrus” (:59) –This one is like a blip on the radar…very short! Interviews with both stars as they come by ready to swear the duet from the movie “I Notion I Lost You.” They are truly a mutual admiration society, with Travolta comparing Cyrus to the appeal of Olivia Newton John in “Grease.”

Bolt’s Be-Awesome Mission–High def video game is somewhat more spirited and fun than the typical Disney video game extra. Commence at level 1, The Burning Warehouse and peruse how far you can progress! Takes a puny bit of mastering of the controls on the remote.
“A Current Breed of Directors: A Filmmakers’ Poke” (4:34) — The two directors discuss what it was like to beget “Paddle,” and how John Lasseter was a large mentor and guide in the process. Fun to notice the expansive plastic hamster ball that the animators played in to diffuse tensions around the office. Obviously big camaraderie was apparent with the team, as they also stopped shaving in unison during the last 9-10 weeks of work on the film.
“Act, Yell! The Voices of Accelerate” (9:47) –Always inviting to glance how each actor has to narrate their lines independently, making the process of playing off the other characters next to impossible. Really takes talent to gain it work. Travolta began in voicework (commercials), so this was a return to his roots. He comments that “You can only contribute your negate…the most interesting this was seeing the marriage with the animation.” Impress Walton, a Disney animation team member, did the scratch snort of Rhino, and was so perfect that he was cast in the final movie. The sincere video of him finding this news out is touching to inspect as you explore his unbridled enthusiasm. Sound comes out of all your speakers, and with a number of action sequences, the subwoofer really rumbles! Extremely impressive! Subtitles: English SDH, Spanish.

Love the episode transfers, wish there could have been some extras (even an onscreen written summary of each episode), but hey, bare bones is better than nothing.
I hope WB will test the waters further with episodes of “Bronco,” “Sugarfoot”, “Lawman”, “Colt .45″ and “The Dakotas.”

OK, it’s impartial a 3-episode “sampler,” but at least we have a few episodes of “Cheyenne” to delight in on DVD and it does provide an evening’s worth of solid Western entertainment. “Cheyenne” has historical value as it was one of Warner Brothers’ very first forays into television production and it was also one of the earliest of the so-called “adult Westerns” that began airing on network television in the mid-1950s. One can only hope that this DVD (and the 3-episode “Maverick” DVD) sell well enough that more episodes might be made available. Clint Walker, “The Spacious Guy Himself,” is profitable in this series and some episode commentaries and/or interviews with Mr. Walker would be welcome and indispensable additions for any future DVD releases of “Cheyenne.” In this regard, Warner Home Video should have borrowed a page from its subsidiary Rhino Home Video, which released “The Life and Tale of Wyatt Earp” on the same day as this and included interview material with the star of that series, Hugh O’Brian, along with a more enormous 26 episodes on four DVDs. As it is, there are no extras on this release, though the episodes notice kindly for a series that began its first broadcasts in 1955, a major reason for obtaining this disc.
This release of “Cheyenne” (and “Maverick”) is like the proverbial potato chip; once you have one, you want more. How about it, Warner Home Video???

Will Smith stars as Hitch, a counselor for men who are having danger making that first fade toward a relationship. One of his main focuses during the movie is an accountant played by a thinner Kevin James (compared to the first couple of seasons in King of Queens) . Kevin’s character is attracted to a fair heiress played by Cameron Diaz-wannabe Amber Valetta.
Enter sub-plot #2: Eva Mendes portrays a gossip columnist headstrong in the notion that, sooner or later, every guy with lie to you, cheat on you, or both. Hitch tries to convince her otherwise while convincing himself that not all women are eventually atrocious either.

The movie’s greatest feature is being able to indicate unprejudiced about every aspect or viewpoint one would have about starting a relationship, from the lovesick to the downright sick of like individuals.
The writing and acting are very well done, mostly because they support Amber’s lines to a minimum.
The reason for my ALMOST perfect title to this is because, toward the waste, the movie gets Plot too Hallmark card-ish. If you peep the movie, you’ll know where it starts. This plus the Ellis Island scene could have had some of the documentary fragment trimmed a bit.
I would highly recommend this movie for a date, especially a first date. I would not divulge bringing the kids to this one due to all of the sexual innuendo.

Warnings: profanity, sexual innuendo, people doing the ‘robot’ dance, and pigheadedness from both sexes. Like I said, it’s a mammoth date movie. 
Final label of the movie: if your movie is being sponsored by, let’s say, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, it’s probably not a estimable understanding to narrate them as a source for suicide inducing and heart failure.
I cannot contain that Will Smith had never done a romantic comedy before “Hitch”. He has so powerful charisma that it would seem that he would have done about 10 of these type of movies by now. But as it turns out, his first one “Hitch” is not abominable and Will gets a exiguous encourage from his co-star Kevin James.
“Hitch” is a man named Alex Hitchins (Will Smith) . He is a “date doctor,” meaning he helps pathetic guys to come by really hot chicks that they would normally would not be able to fetch. He has helped many men, and then comes Albert (Kevin James) . Albert is basically the type of guy that spills everything, says the scandalous thing every time or does not have the nerve to say anything at all. Albert wants to be able to glean the movie star Allegra Coles. So Hitch helps him and along the design he meets Sara Meles (Eva Mendes) . He falls for this girl and forgets everything that he teaches all of his clients by making a complete fool of himself. Obviously thats where the humor comes in and then the dramtic climax of whether Hitch gets the girl or not.
Will Smith does a colossal job as this character. As mentioned earlier, his on-screen charisma makes him the perfect choice for this character. The person that steals this movie from him is Kevin James. Being a vast “King of Queens” fan, he is the reason that I saw this movie and he did not disappoint. Most of the movie’s immense laughs came from his antics. I didn’t really like Eva Mende’s character. She was too considerable of a harm in the neck (to set aside it nicely) .
This movie would be definately worth the inspect, especially if you have a principal other to understanding it with. It is amusing and romantic, but I wouldn’t say that its a chick flick. So there you go guys, this one is okay to gape.

In Dirty Dancing, Jennifer Grey stars as Frances “Baby” Houseman, a girl who goes on vacation to the Catskills with her father, mother and sister in the summer of 1963. She meets the splendid dance instructor Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze), who works at the lodge where they’re staying, and is smitten with him. When she volunteers to absorb in for Johnny’s dance partner, Baby experiences cherish and life firsthand from the free-spirited Johnny.
The DVD version of this movie is terrific. The clarity is unbelievable, the sound is crisp & distinct and the bonuses are improbable. With the bonus features, you catch commentary from the movie’s creator, a behind-the-scenes featurette (with no audio), the videos for “She’s Like the Wind,” “I’ve Had the Time of My Life” & “Hungry Eyes,” biographies about the cast & crew (Jennifer Grey, Patrick Swayze, Cynthia Rhodes, Jerry Orbach, Jack Weston, the director, the producer, the writer and the choreographer), a short “Reliving the 60s” documentary, the theatrical trailer and a concert featuring the music from the movie.
If you care for Dirty Dancing, I highly recommended getting this DVD. It would be a tall addition to add to your collection!
It is awfully hard not to rep swept up into the nostalgic heat and sentiment of this unabashedly, and well-done, teen romance. It is, by turns, sexy, silly, melodramatic, jamming (what with that soundtrack chock burly of some of the best pop hits of the 60s mixed with a few gargantuan current songs) and campy. Yet the overriding feeling of uncomfortable and wistfulness, portrayed with right talent by Jennifer Grey, as the perfect Baby, transforms this movie into something lasting, something to really admire. Cynthia Rhodes is absolutely riveting — as usual — in the second female lead; she is a spectacular dancer and electrifying whenever she is on the shroud. The aching feeling of first lawful love/lust/whatever, here directed at hunky Patrick Swayze, who is by the contrivance an expedient dancer, comes to pudgy flower at a Poconos resort. As all manner of soapy subplots depart through their predictable paces, we are treated to the transformation of our young heroine and any number of luscious musical numbers, capped off by the irresistably romantic Time Of My Life — that feeling of enchanting through a romance that has somehow changed your life is captured with a rare sweetness, and it stays with you.
